Karl Lagerfeld in 1954, then seventeen, became Pierre Balmain's assistant. From here begins an irrefutable success. Become one of the first freelancers of the modern era in the fashion industry, passing through Fendi, Chloè until in 1983, he was appointed artistic director of the Maison Chanel.Only a year later, Karl Lagerfeld, founded his fashion house while maintaining collaborations with Chanel and Fendi. With a continuous dedication to his work, photographing his own advertising campaigns himself, he becomes a designer with international success. In 2004 H&M contacted Karl Lagerfeld to sign a collaboration on a capsule collection of 30 items. In 2010 he received the Couture Council Fashion Visionary Award from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. In 2019, he passed away in Paris. His timeless style, however, is destined to last for years to come.
